Hijri (Warhol-like modification by Ian)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>On the next pages you can find out why we study natural genetic variation and the genetics of mycorrhizal fungi and how we use it to increase the the productivity of globally important crops.<\/h2>\n<p>Our groups\u2019 work at the University of Lausanne concentrates on the genetics of the fungi involved in the symbiosis. Particularly, we study how genetic variation occurs in these fungi and how it can be used to make plants grow better.
