Mauricio Avendano is Professor at the University of Lausanne, and co-director of the Health Economics & Policy Unit<\/a> at the Department of Epidemiology and Health Systems at Unisant\u00e9<\/a>. He is also co-director of the Lausanne Centre for Health Economics, Behavior and Policy<\/a> He is a quantitative social scientist doing research on the impact of public policies and social changes on global health and inequalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is also adjunct Associate Professor at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health<\/a>, Harvard University, and visiting professor of Global Health and Public Policy<\/a> at the Department of Global health and Social Medicine<\/a> at King\u2019s College London<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, he was elected International Fellow<\/a> at the British Academy.<\/a> He is also co-Editor-in-Chief of Social Science & Medicine -Population Health<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
