Since 2021, Christiania has taught the following 2nd- and 3rd-year BA courses at the Universities of Lausanne and Geneva:
‘Writing Medieval Women’
‘Arthurian Literature in the Middle Ages’
‘Magic and Miracle: Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and Pearl‘
‘Images of Early Medieval England in Romance and Hagiography’
Since 2020, she has also co-taught a 1st-year BA lecture course, ‘Earlier Englishes’, at the University of Bern.
She taught Middle English literature extensively at the University of Warwick (1996-2016), also at the International University of Venice (2020).
Doctoral Supervision
Christiania is currently co-supervising doctoral projects on ‘Robert of Knaresborough and the English Trinitarians’, and on ‘Mental Unity in the Writings of the Cloud-author, Marguerite PorĂȘte and Walter Hilton’, in the English Department at the University of Lausanne.
While at Warwick, Christiania successfully supervised doctoral projects on the poetry of Guillaume Machaut (2010); ‘Animals Soundscapes in Anglo-Norman Texts’ (2019); ‘Cushions, Kitchens and Christ: Mapping the Domestic in Late Medieval Religious Writing’ (2019)
