Biography

I am a PhD student (enrolled at UNIL) working under the joint supervision of Prof. Kévin Huguenin (UNIL) and Dr. Ricard Delgado (Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology; CSEM). I started my PhD in September of 2019. I earned her MSc in Computer Science from EPFL; my thesis work focuses on a framework for quantifying the privacy risks associated with genomic data sharing at the Precision Medicine Unit of Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV). Prior to that, I earned my BSc in Bioinformatics at the Lebanese American University.

I am interested in developing software solutions for biomedical data protection, to further encourage its sharing and thus better its utility. My research focuses on mobile health data privacy, specifically on solutions for private data exchange between low-energy devices and computing and storage infrastructures in the context of bio-signals monitoring.
