Kirsten Stirling is Associate Professor of English Literature in the English Department of the Faculté des Lettres.
She studied at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, where she got both her MA (1995) and her PhD (2001).
Her research interests include Scottish Literature (especially twentieth century); early modern poetry (especially the poetry of John Donne); and J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan.
From 2014-2018 she directed the SNSF-funded project “Space, Place and Image in the Poetry and Prose of John Donne.”
She is a co-editor of the forthcoming Edinburgh Companion to Alasdair Gray and a co-director of the SNSF-funded Sinergia Project “Poetry in Notions: The Online Critical Compendium of Lyric Poetry”
