I am a biologist and professor at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, working on the mycorrhizal symbiosis. Here you will find details about the symbiosis, why it is of worldwide importance, how we use genetic and epigenetic variation in mycorrhizal fungi to make globally important crops grow better and we use mycorrhizal fungi to improve the health of soils. Our research combines fundamental lab-based research with applied work in the field – most recently in Colombia, key and Tanzania.
I am also a keen photographer and so you will also find lots of photos, especially from Colombia and others places I visit for research.
