Dr. Caroline Roberts

I am a Senior Lecturer and Researcher in the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Lausanne, affiliated with FORS, the Swiss Centre of Expertise in the Social Sciences, and LIVES, the Swiss Centre of Expertise in Life Course Research. I am also a member of the Developments in Research and Methods in the Social Sciences (DReMSS) platform at UNIL.

I am currently a Visiting Senior Fellow in the Department of Methodology at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and Chair of the Methods Advisory Board of the European Social Survey European Research Infrastructure Consortium.

A specialist in quantitative social science, my research interests and expertise are in the fields of survey methodology and social attitude measurement. I regularly provide expertise on survey and questionnaire design. Almost all my research is based on primary data, collected in large-scale surveys and experiments.

I teach BA and MA courses at UNIL on these topics and provide specialised training on advanced topics in survey methodology, questionnaire design, and data literacy to a variety of audiences.
