Journée d’étude carnaval et subversion, 27 Février 2018, Université de Nice-Sophia Antipolis

In February and March, Prof. Monika Salzbrunn and her ERC-ARTIVISM team were in Nice to follow the carnivalesque celebrations and participate in the Journée d’étude on carnival and subversion organized by Prof. Nathalie Gauthard at the Université Nice Sophia Antipolis. Prof. Monika Salzbrunn gave a paper on “Le carnaval et le carnavalesque face à une « sécurisation » grandissante : Comment saisir la subversion?”.

Presentation of ARTIVISM on the 27th of june

On 27th June, Prof. Monika Salzbrunn will present the ARTIVISM project during an information event about the European Research Council.

This presentation will take place at Amphimax (414) from 4pm until 6:30pm .

You will hear about different types of projects (Starting, Consolidator, Advanced, Synergy et Proof of Concept Grants) and the conditions of participation of the next call for propositions.

ERC “Art and Activism: ARTIVISM”

Monika Salzbrunn was awarded an ERC Consolidator Grant for her project “Art and Activism: ARTIVISM. Creativity and Performance as Subversive Forms of Political Expression in Super-Diverse Cities”. The ERC’s mission is to encourage the highest quality research in Europe through competitive funding and to support investigator-driven frontier research across all fields, on the basis of scientific excellence.
